About the Owner, Terry Kinney

Born in Montana I spent my childhood enjoying hunting, fishing and horseback riding thru out Montana.

My grandfather was the owner of a mercantile store and a wheat farmer in northern Montana and several of my aunts and uncles where ranchers, wheat farmers and a timber mill owner in Montana . My father was in the propane gas business industry that serviced ranches and farms thru out the state so we always had the privilege oh hunting, fishing and horse back riding the private lands of the best that that Montana had to offer.

One of my fond memories was my family participating in the calf branding experience of one of my fathers close ranch friends, where I could participate with the roping, branding and turning calves into steers.  As a teen my fathers career advancement brought our family to Orange County Calif. Now living in the big city was exciting but also a big change from where I grew up.

My neighborhood best friend owned a horse and boarded it along the Santa Ana river bed equestrian area of Orange County. In the 70s the river trail was still a gathering of stables and I felt like I still had a little bit of country in my backyard. While spending over 3 decades in the Aerospace Industry of southern Calif. As my profession I bought my 1st property in Temecula in 2002 to enjoy the beauty of the Temecula Valley area because it just seemed like a bit of small town atmosphere with a more relaxed lifestyle. In 2012 I purchased my equestrian property here in the heart of the Temecula Wine Country to return to the little bit of country that I always missed.
